Election Year 2006: Latin America at the Crossroads?

Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Columbia, Venezuela, Peru and some other countries of the Latin America experienced presidential elections in the period since November 2005 to December 2006. The election results have significantly influenced further direction of the Latin America.

What are the approaches of the new administrations towards the hot social issues such as corruption, poverty, unemployment or the ownership of natural resources? In this publication, leading experts on Latin America are trying to find the answers.

The publication has been published by the Association for International Affairs in cooperation with the University of Hradec Kralove and the University of Economics in Prague.
