Michael Murad is since January 2020 Czech coordinator of the Czech-German Young Professionals Program (CGYPP).

He is a graduate of Security and Strategic Studies at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University (Brno) where he also graduated from the Faculty of Law. His academic interest focused on migration, transnational migrant politics and the Middle East region. During his studies he spent one semester at the Utrecht University in the Netherlands, and a number of short-term foreign study visits.

Since 2011 he has been working in NGO EUTIS, where he was responsible for a number of national and international projects in civic education projects for high school students and teachers aimed at increasing young people’s participation in public life, informing about the European Union and teaching modern history. He is now head of the board of EUTIS. In the past, he worked closely with other governmental and non-governmental organizations and universities. From 2015 to 2018 he chaired a working group focused on the exchange of experience and methods in youth work within the European Network for Education and Training. Michael is Program Manager of the Security Academies Program in the European Values Center for Security Policy as well.
