This year's third meeting of the Network of Women in Czech Foreign Policy was dedicated to cultural diplomacy and the upcoming Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Director of the Czech Centre in Brussels, Jitka Pánek Jurková, met with the network’s members on June 3rd. She talked not only about cultural diplomacy and its role in promoting the Czech Republic abroad and during the upcoming Czech Presidency, but also about the position of women in Czech diplomacy and the practical issues of reconciling personal and professional life.
Jitka Pánek Jurková has long been involved in the neglected area of cultural diplomacy and is the author of the podcast Jazzman versus Spies, which presents the links between foreign policy and art.
