Jiří Vyčichlo is AMO Research Fellow. His research focus is on international relations and diplomacy in Europe, with an emphasis on Western and Central Europe.
Jiří Vyčichlo is a graduate of the Department of Historical Sciences at the Faculty of Arts of the University of West Bohemia. He also completed his Master’s degree in Modern History there and subsequently received his Doctor of Historical Sciences degree in 2020. As part of his professional research, he spent several months in Vienna under the auspices of the Universität Wien. As part of the Erasmus+ programme, he studied at the University of Regensburg. He studied in London in accordance with his academical research for several weeks. He has research experience from Österreichisches Staatsarchivin Wien, The National Archives in London, Bundesarchiv in Berlin, etc.
He lectures on the history of Anglophone countries, the history of the Eastern Question or the history of European culture and society. In addition to his academic activities, he has many years of experience in the military environment, especially in the field of armaments. His area of expertise is international relations and diplomacy in Europe, with an emphasis on Western and Central Europe.
