Energy policy is certainly one of the key areas of cooperation within the framework of Visegrad Group and neighbouring countries. These countries act together and coordinate their stances on the European Energy Union which is nowadays being discussed and plans being implemented on the broad level. Different views on this topic even among the Visegrad Group countries and Germany with Austria could pose a challenge. A joint statement on the issue of energy, its security, interconnectivity and usage of particular technologies is most desirable due to the present events and debates on the EU level.
